What is Google Engage?

There is a new addition to the Google Ads family, known as Google Engage. A membership offered to businesses that reside in the U.S. and Canada that enables your company to grow via the help of an AdWords consultant. If you are eligible (check all eligibility here) than you will receive the ability to gain access to phone support, webinars and online training sessions.

The objective is to help current agencies that offer Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization to Website development and Online Advertising. Therefore Google intends to help current companies who specialize in Internet Marketing the support they need to help their clients get the most out of Google and all of its tools.

Along with the help, your Marketing business can apply to become a certified partner which allows dynamic keyword insertion from badges to perks for being a partner through their Google Engage membership.

The point of Google Engage is to help agencies talk to clients, use Google AdWords appropriately and offer the benefits of support and partnership. Sounds like a good plan!

If you are struggling talking to clients and are unable to get the SEO aspect of your business working as well as you had hope for your clients than Google Engage might be the membership you are lacking.

  1. Haven’t gotten a chance to go through this, but I’m pretty excited about it. I felt like this was a missing piece from the AdWords section. Anyways, thanks for the post. Steve

  2. This is a tool to get companies who do development work for SMBs to provide better SEO as well as sign the SMBs up for Google services. While this article is a few months old, there’s been and continues to be a huge battle going on between Google and Microsoft over the SMB services and browser market.

  3. I was just contacted by a “Gary Lovelaee” with the phone number 619-400-2234 and he said he was with “Google Engage” and it sounded like he was selling something and he said I hadn’t “claimed” my Google business listing yet and he wanted to make a phone appt. to talk about my SEO and when I said I wasn’t interested he threatened to flag my website and have it pulled off Google! What a scam! Now what am I supposed to do? Can I really be penalized because I refused to engage with their salesmen? Yikes!

  4. Hello, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it
has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
