Twitter is one of the greatest site to drive tons of targeted traffic to a blog or website. I also having a twitter account which consists of more than 2000 followers. It gives me about 300- 400 instant traffic just after positing a new article.

So make your own twitter account.

Add a Plus to bit.ly Links

If you’ve been using TweetDeck or another Twitter service that uses bit.ly links, then here’s a great tip:

Go through your timeline and pull out bit.ly links, paste them into your browser, and add a “+” on the end. This will automatically send you to the bit.ly statistics page for that link, which gives you conversation history, clicks and regional analysis.

Not only is this a great way to yank out and measure the effectiveness of your tweet history, but it also gives you the opportunity to analyze your competitors!

Want to know how well someone else’s tweets are faring? Pull out the “+” and you’re in business.

having a twitter account tied to your blog is a strong tool to garner followers to your writing, however, its most effective when you already have a small following before introducing it.

I follow a couple of blogs on my Twitter and I think it’s a very useful tool because everything that I want to share back and the updates are all found in one place. Now that Twitter has launched the list option, it will definitely make it easier to keep track of blog updates. I agree that Twitter helps add personality to the blog account. I like interaction and seeing what other people have said too. It’s so simple and cleaner!
