Expressing ourselves in various ways is always something we look to do, especially when it makes showing what we think or feel a quick and easy process. Emoticons are not new to the Internet, just to Facebook.
Last week Facebook rolled out the ability to share a thought via an emoticon on comments only. This means that you will not be able to use them within a status update since comments give the option to hide if you are not impressed.
If you are looking to use emoticons via their mobile app, they have not enable the feature to show up there on statuses or comments, however it is enabled on Facebook Messenger app or on the Facebook chat in general.
We have been expressing ourselves more visually on the site in the past year, so adding Facebook emoticons seems like a great idea, however, will this benefit the users or annoy them?
Time will tell. <Insert happy face here>
