Facebook is a visual medium. It’s that simple.
Today, many business and brand pages are attempting to increase engagement by asking questions. Whether they’re familiar with the effects of engagement on EdgeRank or if they’re simply doing it because someone told them to, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that they’re trying to engage and this is a good thing.
Unfortunately most are missing a major component to the strategy. Facebook is, again, visual. The ability that images have to get more attention to a post is unquestionable. Many businesses or brands are posting images OR they’re asking questions. The two should not always be separated. There are certainly times when posting an image by itself with a witty or relevant statement attached is fine, but when posting a question that is attempting to get responses, don’t just post text.
Add images. That’s it. Do it. Every time.

thank you man
hmmm…..good strategy, or post video to ask question. Have to try it!
good points. making your posts appeal to the target audience definitely helps
There’s a lot of noise on Facebook and a lot to compete with. It’s important to post content that will stand out. Adding photos or video is a great way to improve engagement levels and get content noticed.
Having images and video allow your followers to interact more with your content.
Definitely agree with you that adding pictures to any post really attracts a lot of attention. And more so, if a question goes with a pic. First you catch the reader’s attention, then you tickle his brains. Great combination!
There’s this new social network actually made just for this – asking questions through picture lol. and video, but it’s a bit better (for this purpose at least) I like it. Guys should check out http://www.Formvote.com
Check out http://www.Qpixl.com The whole idea of the site is to ask a question with a picture.
