It’s not just network marketers or Amway reps who need contacts. Nearly every business that sells a product or a service can benefit from having a well-managed, properly updated virtual rolodex, but so many people blow it off as something that’s not for them.
This is a mistake.
In the infographic below by our friends at Xobni, they explore the value of a contact. Did you know how valuable they were? I didn’t.

The mistake people make is to go for networking session is to be over enthusiastic in sharing their own idea rather than learning more about others. That is why the contacts gradually gets outdated for you once the other party put off interest in your concept. I believe in learning about them as much as possible and contribute to their business. Once you (not your concept) win their trust and faith, the contact is yours to lose .
And the last part of the infograph (a smart way to automate) contact is epic. But what if the same contact has two different name (because he is my friend on 2 different platforms), can we elegantly address this issue? Because I may end up having tons of duplicates.
