I like a lot of what Chris Brogan has to say about marketing relationships. It is interesting that some of his notions of “courtship” in business relationships is a carbon copy of business ethics from my grandparents’ generation. Since this past economic downturn a lot of are looking to business that run the way they did back in the 30′s and 40′s, with integrity, quality, and a sense of commitment to customers. This is something you don’t see in large corporations and it makes sense that they may have a harder time utilizing social media to their advantage as well as a smaller business might.
There is an interview series of social media specialists that you also might enjoy.

I agree. Amidst the fast-changing world of marketing, it always comes down to classic marketing approach that is hardwork and commitment. Some marketing tools do not necessarily apply to all businesses. Marketers should be creative and aggressive in their approach but never forgetting to stay humane as customers love to be treated special.
