However, social means social - and that&#039;s the issue with people who have this anxiety problem. Even being social online presents them with difficulty - however, the first steps are often easier than with &quot;real world&quot; social activity. What the current state of the evidence suggests is that just like &quot;real world&quot; treatment for this disorder, the use of online social media to help deal with the condition only works when it is done under the supervision of a qualified therapist or psychologist. Doing it alone doesn&#039;t always seem to work.</description>
