I think Twitter is more for the “here’s the latest and greatest deal” while Facebook is for what’s going on present, past & future. It would be nice if Twitter & Facebook would allow searching by dates.

Nice post here. I think Twitter is full of shouts and stuff that it’s frustrating getting to read all those trash and spammy contents. I think, Facebook offers more realistic ways of connecting with people, whether for business or pleasure. Although, it can really be a weapon against unwary job seekers out there, one must always be careful of what he/she posts there.

Both of these are ideal for small businesses and those wanting to create a voice in their market. I agree with your out look on FB and Twitter. I would only add that though FB is more for marketing and Twitter is for short ongoing conversations, they both sort of level the new media playing field so everyone can compete on a somewhat level field.
