Owning or Administering a Facebook Page can feel like a heavy responsibility when you are unsure of how to use it effectively. Especially now, when Facebook has changed the look and layout of their pages, you may be questioning how you can get more out of your Facebook Page. Remarkably, the recent changes can actually aid your use of your page and will give you the ability to market your brand farther into Facebook’s communities. Here are four easy and useful ways to increase brand awareness using your Facebook Page.

1. Use Facebook as Your Page

You are able to switch between “your profile” and “your page” when utilizing Facebook. Take advantage of this and start socializing as your page on other pages. Strike up a conversation, or respond to a question or a post on another page. You will not be able to connect with other profiles, once you are a page.

Once you begin using your Facebook page as a voice, people will be able to see your personality and choose to click on the link associated with your page name and then choose to “like” your page or not. This is an effective way to further your branding and reach of your page, since only 2% of Facebook users will actually go to a page, majority of responses come from users seeing it within their newsfeeds. If you socialize as your page, it will appear in newsfeeds and therefore people will see that you exist. It is a straightforward, yet, efficient way to promote your page.

2. Like Other Pages as a Page

When using Facebook as your Facebook page, make sure that you search Facebook for relevant pages that will be a great accessory to your page. The pages you “like” as a page will shuffle in the lower left-hand sidebar of your Facebook Page and people will be able to see the other pages your page has “liked”. Only five of the pages you choose will appear, so be sure to switch them up every month.

Here is a great way to promote other pages you are associated with on Facebook or as a recommendation tool. Remember, people take credibility in to account by the presentation of a page as well as whom the page mingles with. If you choose to associate your page with other great pages, it can only boost your pages worth to a user.

3. Tag Other Pages as a Page

Once finding pertinent pages that you would want your Facebook Page to connect with, be sure to look over their recent content and choose the content that would best suit your Facebook Page demographic and share it, tagging the originated Facebook Page associated with the content. This way, the people who have “liked” your page and the other page will see that you have shared content. You will be spreading your brand and connections with like-minded communities by increasing your chances of a response.

4. Use Facebook Pages recommended “Liked” Pages to your Advantage

It may have seemed that “liking” Facebook Pages in the past were a waste of time, especially from a pages point of view. However, Facebook has now upgraded their Facebook Page system that could have you using this to your advantage. On the lower right-hand corner of your Facebook Page you will see a variety of Facebook Pages that the people who have “liked” your page have also “liked”, use this.

Whether incorporating the subject of the page information and formulating it into a question or “liking” the page as a page, you will increase your “likability” amongst the people who have “liked” your page.

Example: In the lower right-hand portion of your page, you may see that “15 people” who have “liked” your page have also “liked” Lady Gaga’s page. Don’t “like” a page that is not relevant to your page, instead, use that information as a status update, example: Have you ever been to a Lady Gaga concert?

Alternatively, if your page is regarding Automotive and you see that four other people who have “liked” your page have also “liked” a page called “Dealer Social” that would be a great page to “like” as well and find content to tag and use for your page.

There are varieties of ways you can utilize your current Facebook page and increase your Brand awareness. These four simple, yet effective steps will help guide you in maneuvering other ways to further awareness to your Facebook Page.
