There is no true secret sauce to gaining exposure online when it comes to your brand’s promotions; you simply need to strategize where you need to place your efforts online. Ideally you would be looking to promote to the masses and aid in getting the word out in a timely fashion.

Finding sites online are easy, however knowing which ones that will actually be effective and use your time efficiently is the hard part. Social Media offers businesses and brands the ability to amplify their current promotions amongst a wide range of people; however, knowing how to use social networks, tools and websites that will help ease your job of promoting your promotions can help you get more buzz than ever before.

Here are 4 Ways to Get More out of Promoting Your Promotions Online.

1. Buffer

Buffer

Buffer is a social media managing tool that helps you schedule articles, status updates or media to social sites like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook Pages or your Profile. Within the free version you are able to choose 3 of the mentioned social networks and select a time zone in which you want each individual posts to go out. You can make this super easy by installing the app on your smartphone or adding the plugin to your browser so you can buffer your promotion properly.

Buffer also allows you to see the stats on the posts that you share via Buffer so you can get an idea of what people like or don’t and even work a promotion around that. Whenever you are able to see analytics on content you share you should always check and notate which ones were the most popular, therefore when brainstorming ideas for your brand’s promotion you can try and angle it in a way to please your intended audience.

2. Viral Content Buzz

Viral_Content_Buzz

This brand new free social media platform is designed to help you get the word out. It is a unique form of “word of mouth” promoting that is built upon a community that is looking to do the same. This is no ordinary platform, for you are able to enable your connected social sites like Twitter and Facebook and easily scroll through content and choose which ones you would like to share. By doing these actions you are rewarded with a points/credits system which will then allow you to be the one to post an article you are looking to have promoted.

There are no tribes needed, or any waiting process after signing up, the only time you will have to wait is upon approval from the moderators who will ensure that spam is not added to the site, ensuring quality which will encourage people to not only share more, but feel confident that what is being shared won’t stick out like a sore thumb.

Since Viral Content Buzz is in “Alpha” mode there are new features on the horizon such as adding other social sites like StumbleUpon and Pinterest and more to the mix so you have more places to promote to and for whatever it is you are looking to gain eyes on. This site will help you promote, gain views and increase social signals for your articles also enabling you to have people retweet you increasing your own chances for new followers as well. If you are looking for simplistic ways of spreading your content this site is worthy of your time and will ease your promoting process.

3. Facebook Offers

Facebook Offers

If you have a Facebook page that has 400 likes or more you are able to now provide Facebook Offers to your community. Just making its debut a month ago to limited pages, this past week it has gone global and made a few changes to help you get your Offer (Promotion) out further on Facebook by having you tie it in with Advertising since it has been proven that it could be 5 times more effective. Facebook Offers is free and allows you to share an offer with your community easily and instantly, all you do is input the information, set an end date and wait for people to claim it.

Giving something away is always ideal when it comes to promoting your brand, more eyes will see it and want to take part. This is a great way to promote your business and turn online fans into in-store customers.

4. Share

Share Promotions

This one should be obvious but not many people do it often enough. You need to believe in your own article for promotion or any other form of promotion to help get the word out, besides, people who follow you usually are the most supportive and will likely share it beginning a ripple effect. At the very least they will click on the link and perhaps like or comment which will too help spread the word.

Don’t be afraid to promote yourself, like I always say, you have to believe in yourself for others to believe in you.

Hopefully these 4 Ways to Get More out of Promoting Your Promotions Online will help ease the stress that can come when it is time to promote. Since living in an expectant real-time world, we need to take action quickly and use various tools and platforms that will differentiate your brand from your competitor.

Using any one of these suggestions will give you a leg up; however using all four will catapult you to the front of the line when it comes to having people see your various promotions online.

  1. I see a great potential especially with Facebook Offers, because once you create an Offer, it will be shared with people who have liked your page, as well as allowing them to share it with their friends. As soon as a person redeems your offer, it will be automatically shared with their friends on their News Feeds. This will enhance the claims and will further aid you while trying to reach a larger audience.

This new Facebook feature will be an invaluable tool when creating viral content.

  2. These are great ways of using social media tools for promotion. I think the most effective tool out of these four would be sharing, the world is made up of people who are networked with each other and if one person shares something with another word can spread quickly. If each person shares the promotion with one other person people will know about it in no time and that’s the beauty of social media. It allows a company or organization to spread their message to a vast audience that it would otherwise not be able to reach.

  3. Hi Mike :)

That is a great point and according to Facebook case studies pairing it with advertisements on Facebook the increase in ROI is phenomenal. Thanks for your thoughts!

  4. Hi Jacob!

That was a surprising response and a very awesome one at that! Surely I thought the tools would be mentioned but am happy that I added sharing to the bunch and you summed it up quite well. Thanks for the feedback!

  5. Just to share my thought.. It was really a good article, though. Aside from the four strategies mentioned above, one way to really promote your brand is being transparent on what they could see on your site and what you tell them when you’re promoting. This can eventually build your audience trust for your site.
