Over the years the Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) has been looked upon as a transmission that one should not use because it was built to rob a vehicle of its overall performance. Driving purist have hated the CVT for years, mostly because the shifting is not felt in a car that is not made with the automatic mimicking technology present.
